Department's Tasks:

• carrying out and coordinating external controls in the territorial self-government units
• carrying out and coordinating controls of activities of the units subordinated to and supervised by the Governor, including the combined service units, inspectorates and guards
• carrying out controls of the state owned companies for which the Governor is the founding body
• carrying out controls of the realization of the Governor’s budget in the units subordinated to and supervised by the Governor, as well as in the units of the territorial self-government in terms of using the subsidies allocated from the Governor’s budget
• carrying out financial controls of the projects under realization co-financed by the EU funds
• carrying out internal controls in the respective departments of the Office
• carrying out an internal audit in the Office
• considering the interventions, complaints, motions and petitions addressed to the Office concerning its working and conducting clarifying procedures for those affairs
• coordinating, supervising and controlling the process of receiving and processing the complaints, motions and petitions
• maintaining the Central Register of Complaints and Motions reaching the Office
