The Mazowieckie Province Governor acts as:
- a representative of the Cabinet in the province
- a superior of the unified governmental administration
- an authority supervising the units of the territorial self-government
- a superior authority, as defined in the regulations on the administrative proceedings, if the specific acts so provide
- a representative of the National Treasury, in terms and under the rules specified in the separate acts
