The Mazowieckie Province Governor acts as:

• a representative of the Cabinet in the province
• a superior of the unified governmental administration
• an authority supervising the units of the territorial self-government
• a superior authority, as defined in the regulations on the administrative proceedings, if the specific acts so provide
• a representative of the National Treasury, in terms and under the rules specified in the separate acts
