Who can submitt an application?

An application for granting a temporary residence permit for the purpose of running business activity is submitted by a Foreigner whose purpose of stay is to conduct business activity on the territory of Poland on the basis of regulations applicable in this respect.

This permit is also granted to foreigners whose purpose of residence in Poland is to fulfil a function in the management board of a limited liability company or a joint-stock company whose shares or stocks a foreigner possesses or managing the affairs of a limited partnership or a limited joint-stock partnership by the general partner or acting as a proxy.

A temporary residence permit is granted for the period necessary to implement the purpose of a foreigner's stay on the territory of Poland over 3 months to 3 years with the possibility of applying for further permits.

A temporary residence permit for a foreigner who performs work by fulfilling a function in the management board of a limited liability company or a joint-stock company whose shares or stocks a foreigner possesses, managing the affairs of a limited partnership or a limited joint-stock partnership by the general partner or acting as a proxy entitles them to perform work of this nature at the same time. The annotation "access to the labour market" is placed in the residence card issued in connection with granting a temporary residence permit. Taking up another work (even in the same company) requires obtaining a work permit.
