Things worth knowing
- residence on the territory of the Republic of Poland is regarded as continuous if it was not interrupted by more than 6 months in a year in total.
- residence on the territory of the Republic of Poland is not regarded as interrupted if the territory is left for a period longer than the one mentioned above due to:
the military service,
important family circumstances, in particular pregnancy, childbirth, sickness, studies, professional training, transfer that require residence outside the territory, provided that this period does not exceed another 12 months. - residence on the territory of the Republic of Poland is interrupted by the execution of a decision on the EU citizen's deportation;
- the application may only be submitted in person, and not through a representative. The requirement of personal submission of an application does not apply no a minor;
- The permanent residence card of an EU citizen's family member may be collected by a representative;
- the application should be completed in Polish, legibly, with capital letters;
- the original documents should be presented for inspection at the office;
- if you attach to the application documents in a language other than Polish, you should also attach their translations into Polish made by a Polish sworn translator or consul.
